Project 013 Super Clod Buster PART 03: Gearbox Reinforcement

Before closing up our newly built alloy gearbox assemblies, we still needed to install the gears. Instead of re-using the OEM plastic, we installed our HD Nylon Gear Set (#C22732) into the two rear gearboxes. These gear sets are made from (as the name implies!) durable nylon, and retain the differential function for a drop-in upgrade. 

For smoother, more reliable running we also replaced the OEM plastic and brass bushings with our 6x12x4mm Low-Friction Rubber Sealed Bearings (#C27882) and 5x8x2.5mm Ball Bearings (#C32497). These ball bearings allow the internal gears inside the gearboxes to run smooth, cool and efficient, for more reliability, less noise, and longer run times.
