Project 013 Super Clod Buster PART 01: Chassis Upgrade to 6-Wheel layout

After initially building the Project 013 Super Clod Buster per the factory instruction manual, it's now time to tear it apart to install our upgrades – this way we can show each upgrade as it replaces the OEM part. Since our plan was to create a 6-wheeled machine, we started with the Super Clod Buster's chassis. The dated, molded plastic tub has no provisions to add a third axle, so the backbone of our build will be our 6x6 Alloy Chassis Conversion Kit (#C34213). 

 This chassis features a twin vertical plate design with multiple mounting points for three axles, alloy brace plates, and aluminum posts for added rigidity. This chassis can accommodate both the OEM suspension as well as custom 4-link suspension configurations. The 6x6 Alloy Chassis Conversion Kit is available in five anodized colors; for this project we went with red.
